SPL are instructed by Location 3 Properties to pursue a planning application for 9,500m² (102,000ft²) of food and non-food retail floorspace on a prominent site adjacent to the River Medway at Frindsbury, Kent. SPL have coordinated the submission of the planning application including preparation of a full retail impact and sequential test analysis and remain in discussions with the Council over the proposal.
SPL are instructed by the Kent based development company, Location 3 Properties, to progress a planning application for a combined food and non-food retail warehouse park on the site. It has had a long history of retail consents most recently for a new Sainsbury’s foodstore. The new proposals maintain the quantum of floorspace but look to provide for a broader range of occupiers from both the food and non-food sectors. SPL were involved in pre application discussions with the Council including an early positive presentation to the Council’s Planning Committee. SPL have subsequently prepared a full planning application including a detailed retail impact and sequential test analysis as well as coordinating all of the other supporting documents required to support the application. SPL are in discussions with the Council’s retained retail consultants on retail matters before the scheme will be presented to Committee by the end of 2016.
